Yes, it's
true... we have these original oil paintings. They're
among Sam Park's latest works, they've been on display
in our gallery for about a month, and they're getting a
lot of attention. Click the above thumbnails

The
"Bellagio Nights" original is 30" x 50", while the
"Capri Promenade" original is 30" x 60", and the good
news is that we have the exclusive right to reproduce
both as hand-embellished, limited edition gicleé
reproductions. These are ONLY available through Gallerie
505, and for a limited time, at pre-publication prices.
Each will only have 25 limited edition gicleé
reproductions and 5 artist proofs available,
and are already being pre-sold. "Bellagio
Nights" gicleé reproductions are 30" x 48", priced
at $1,975. "Capri Promenade" gicleé
reproductions are 28" x 56", priced at $2,250.

Belinda Leigh |
Belinda
is a self-taught artist, expressing her love for nature
and its fragile beauty through her passion for
art. As a child growing up in Missouri in a family
of nine, art was a favorite recreation that manifested
itself into dreams of painting dolphins and whales in
Hawaii.
Her high
school and college years found her preoccupied with
math, languages and the sciences. Her social
awareness led her to graduate with honors from the
University of Missouri as a social worker, and she
worked in the Kansas City inner city. This work
did not fulfill her true passion and satisfy the need
inside for artistic pursuits.
One year
later, she began to paint, without any training.
Painting was part-time until 1995, when a mastectomy
motivated her to make positive choices in her life; one
of which was to focus on art.
Fifteen
years of painting portraits helped to develop her
discipline to paint what she sees. Revealing a
person's spirit, bringing them to life on canvas, is an
art she applies to her animal subjects, above and below
the surface of the sea. Maui is her home of 27
years. The joy and wonder of Maui's diverse
natural beauty are portrayed as if one were looking
through a window.
Belinda's
works are cherished for her technical skills as well as
their aesthetic qualities. Her style is
traditional, applying the oil and acrylics by stroke of
the brush, without even putting pencil on her
canvas. Thousands of brush strokes and countless
transparent layers create silken smoothness and rich
texture to delight and bring a joyful experience to the
heart of the beholder.

In
April of 2008, Belinda Leigh, an
internationally-successful artist and gallery owner
(Maui Arts & Gifts), was made aware that an
established Gallery wanted to sell their business
interests at "505 Front Street" - a very popular
collection of upscale shops & restaurants in
Lahaina, Maui, frequented by tourists at all levels.
It was an opportunity for her to significantly
expand her own exposure, along with that of many other
artists, both local and international, making a broad
range of art forms & styles available to a much
wider audience.
A bargain was quickly struck,
and Belinda immediately set out to reconfigure the
gallery and its art collection, and to expand the family
of artists and her own staff to offer "something for
everyone" in very affordable price ranges.
Many
innovations followed, including a schedule of local and
visiting "featured artists", actually creating and
painting just outside the gallery entrance, to the
delight and amazement of all who pass by. These
artists demonstrate their individual styles &
techniques, with touches of entertainment, humor,
storytelling and education.
Belinda now
presents a growing family of 25+ artists, spanning many
genres & styles, including many offerings that are
unique & exclusive to her gallery. If you've
been here before, we certainly look forward to seeing
you again soon, and if you've not yet had a chance to
visit us, please consider this newsletter to be your
formal invitation.
Belinda herself is here most
evenings, sometimes as our "featured artist", but always
happy to greet everyone & chat about almost
anything. You'll be dazzled by her artwork, and
